Friends Social Meeting

Venue: Online

Join us for our weekly Quaker social get-together on zoom! This group started with Friends from Southampton Meeting during covid lock-down, and we enjoy it so much that we have just kept going. Everyone is welcome from across the area and beyond, and do feel free to drop in and out as you like.

Quaker Meeting

Venue: Friends Meeting House, 1a Ordnance Rd, Southampton, SO15 2AZ

The easiest way to discover Quakers is to simply come along to one of our Sunday meetings, and see if you like it.  We sit in gathered silence for an hour, with occasional spoken ministry as anyone feels moved to speak. After notices, the kettle goes on for friendly conversation over tea and coffee. All welcome, newcomers, visitors and old friends alike.

All age worship and baby welcoming event!

Over the last year the children have been working on small embroideries,  based on botanical designs, many of which come from Early Quaker Botanists

If anyone has access to any small wooden embroidery hoops 6-8 inches, together with any embroidery threads, the children’s meeting will be extremely grateful.

The children hope to be able to demonstrate and help others in AAW to create their own small botanical embroideries.
